<---- FINCHCLAW
tom, 27 moons
RANK: Medicine Cat
ALLIANCE: GoldenClan
APPEARANCE: Undersized ginger tabby tom with dull but piercing green eyes
PERSONALITY:Finchclaw has a tongue of quicksilver. It's his best defense and best offence to anything that might happen to him, or so he says. Although he tends to blurt everything out, he's sometimes wise enough to shut up because somehow, he know's things aren't going to get better if he speaks his mind.
With a good sense of humor, Finchclaw can make you laugh even though you seem to be in a bad mood. With his sillly antics and seemingly wierd remarks, he can brighten up your day in no time at all. Despite his good sense of humor, he does have his bad days as well though, and on those days, he's a grouch and tends to be rude.
On the upside, Finchclaw is one who can be trusted to the end of his life. He is trustworthy, keeping a secret even if it means death. He is loyal to his friends, Clanmates or not, but he puts his Clanmates before others of course. Another thing about Finchclaw is his gentleness and kindness when dealing with injuries. Being the go-get-em tom that he is, this a quite a surprising trait he posseses.
Despite all that, Finchclaw isn't one who follows the warrior code or is even bothered to know it. It's this rebellious streak he has in him that makes him tend to feel the need to break the rules sometimes. Of course, he follows his leader's instructions and all, but he just doesn't care for the code. Even though he can be rebellious, Finchclaw does have faith and trusts his warrior ancestors.
REASON FOR NAME: Finch for his ginger fur
Claw for small claw-like marks that mark the fur behind his ears.
FAMILY:Father - Darkflash - Senior Warrior - NPC
Mother - Squirreltail - Senior Warrior - NPC
Sister - Lotusfur - Queen - NPC
Brother - Talonstrike - Warrior - NPC
HISTORY:KITHOOD
One green - leaf day, four mewling kits were born to Squirreltail and Darkflash. Two toms and two she-cats. The kits were named Talonkit, Lotuskit, Finchkit, and Ashkit, Talonkit being the oldest and Ashkit the youngest. As time went on, the kits grew older and so did their personalities. Talonkit and Lotuskit were always the ringleaders in whatever mischief the litter got into, Finchkit being the follower and Ashkit being the one who always seemed to get sick. But at three moons, Finchkit started disappearing off to the medicine cat den, his green gaze never leaving the tasks that Willowdance, the medicine cat at that time, did. Everyone soon began to think that Finchkit would be able to work to the best of his abilities as a medicine cat apprentice. So did the leader apparently.
APPRENTICESHIP
The day arrived for the four kits to be apprenticed. Talonkit, Lotuskit, and Ashkit were assigned to their own mentors to train as warriors, getting the names Talonpaw, Lotuspaw, and Ashoaw, while a delighted Finchkit was given to Willowdance to train as the medicine cat apprentice, taking on the name Finchpaw. Finchpaw spent moons training to be the medicine cat apprentice, memorizing the herbs and their uses by heart.
Days after his getting his new name, Finchclaw's mentor, Willowdance, passed away due to sickness. Not long after, his sister Ashtail passed away as well from the same sickness.
MEDICINE CAT
Now the sole medicine cat of GoldenClan, Finchclaw had to work twice as hard. Four moons into his medicine cat status, he found himself stuck with an apprentice, Pebblepaw. Now, he strives to teach his apprentice as well as Willowdance had taught him.
RP EXAMPLE:Claws clicked on the burning pavement that ran alongside the roads. It was a strangely silent day, none of the usual weekday traffic could be heard, no roars of engines or chatter of humans. Very strange. Without sensing anything wrong about the atmosphere, Iskandar trotted on, head in the air with ears pricked and listening. His small, thin body seemed to find extra reservoirs of energy and strength and was keeping the exhausted young pup moving. Blue orbs, in which golden streaks were starting to make their appearance, stared about but took nothing in. Not that that was surprising, because covering Izzy's eyes was a thin veil, which was the color of grey clouds and mist.
Speaking of grey clouds, that was just the thing that covered the skies which had been clear only minutes ago. Tension crackled the still air, sending uneasy waves rippling through Izzy's spine. "What's this?" he murmured softly to himself. Curiosity overcame his uneasiness and his large eyes flicked about, listening. The howling of the wind roared in the young pup's ears and he flinched. But wait. There were no cars about.. When was there never any cars about?
"What on earth is going on? The world is acting so weird! Maybe I should hide in my box?" Izzy squeaked. But the wind's roar grew even louder and the young pup crouched down, eyes rolling in terror. "Run you idiot! There's a tornado coming!" a voice snapped as paws hit the ground, going in the other direction. The young pup just remained crouched, hoping that this 'tornado' person would bypass him and go catch someone else. "Mr Tornado, could you please leave me alone? I'm pretty tired and I don't feel like playing now. Maybe tomorrow?" he chirped, the words barely leaving his mouth before the wind took it away. The wind's roar was closer and louder now, and Izzy found himself having to practically dig his claws into the pavement to avoid being swept off his paws. Instinct told him to run, and he did; except he was going in the wrong direction. Instead of turning and running the way he had come, he ran forward, straight toward the rising tornado.
Big mistake. Only meters away from the swirling vortex of wind, and it proved too strong for the Pharaoh Hound and lifted his skinny frame. A scream was tugged out of his lips as he went round and round. Iskandar's chest felt tight, his breaths were strained as he struggled to breathe. As quickly as it had rose, the tornado died down, sending the now unconscious puppy sailing toward a stream. Still body gave a loud thump on the rocky bed that ran beside the stream, and Iskandar was still forever. It turns out that a sharp piece of tile had buried itself into the Pharaoh Hound's head and had killed him instantly, along with his body falling onto a large stone that broke it. All around the golden pup was a pool of scarlet blood.
You know, many wonder what one thinks, or does, or says when he knows he is on the brink of death. For Izzy, it had been no different. For all his months on the planet Earth, he had wondered how it would feel like to die, how one could cope wiu the thought that he was dead; if he could think after death. Well, he found out today. Death was full of pain for some, while it came as silently and quickly like the breaths he took. For Iskandar however, the pain was like white-hot fire, searing his head until the young pup gave way to the dizzying blackness that threatend to take hold of him.
