<---- CHINCHI
male, 6 moons
ALLIANCE: None.
APPEARANCE: A silvery-white Chinchilla cat (a variety of the Persian) mix, with round, curious green eyes. His underbelly is completely white, while his top is almost silver, with darker striping that continues up to the tip of his tail. His fur is long and fluffy, and it tears easily. he has really sharp teeth, and both his nose and pads are a delicate pink. His ears are short and close-set, always upright and alert. His fur makes him look short and stocky.
PERSONALITY: He's very curious about pretty much everything, but doesn't have much of an attention span. He's pretty much a kit in an apprentice-sized body. He chews on pretty much everything, and has an annoying habit of nibbling on the tip of his tail, giving it a somewhat bedraggled look. He's happy and very bouncy, but startles easily and is known to be a kicker if held. He doesn't like to climb, but can be fast when he wants to.
He can be all around goofy, and is an absolute coward, though he'll put on a brave face and puff himself up if there's ever an opportunity to show off. He's naive about things, and doesn't have much of a discretion filter, meaning he blurts out pretty much whatever is on his mind, even if it's sensitive or concerns someone else. He tries his best to be nice to everyone, but his blundering personality and naive bluntness make him hard for others to bear and typically quite annoying.
He is honest to a fault, though he can sometimes tell little white lies if he thinks it will make people like him more. He's known for over-acting and general melodramatics. He is in need of some maturity.
REASON FOR NAME: He was given this name because his owners think he bears a remarkable resemblance to a chinchilla, in terms of both looks and personality.
FAMILY: Mother: Clara Father: Unknown Sisters: Terra and Cosette Brother: Flick
HISTORY: Chinchi was born to his mother, Clara, a barn cat, the last of him litter with siblings Terra, Flick, and Cosette. Though they were born outside, Clara's humans quickly brought her and her progeny inside and raised them indoors, only letting them out when the kittens were around 4 moons old. It was around that time that they started bringing other humans over to show them the kittens and try to find them homes. Terra and Cosette got homes immediately, and with each other. Flick went next. Chinchi took a little longer because of his aversion to being held, but did find a home eventually. He currently lives in it.
RP EXAMPLE: Chinchi stared about the room around him in wide-eyed wonderment, his mouth open a little as if to literally drink it all in. It was new. The furnishings were new. The humans were new. The way the light danced over the thickly-woven carpet was new. It was new, and now it was all his.
He felt the presence of the human who had placed him here behind him, watching him. It's stare, wide-eyed and intense, made the fur on his back rise. He thought he sensed a movement, a flicker of a shadow on the wall. He ran towards it, ready to leap up and trap it beneath his large, kittenish paws. Then, unexpectedly, suddenly spooked, he back-tracked, unsuccessfully trying to move his hindlegs forward and his front ones backward. He tripped and fell, made-believe he was tangled up in something, bit and kicked at an imaginary trap then, with all the speed and youthful energy of a kitten, he bounced to his paws, fur fluffed out and legs stiff, tail tucked beneath his legs, and ran under the couch, planning to him out there.
It was dark. His pupils dilated, trying to get used to it. He was not accustomed to dark places. Scared, he hunched himself into a tight ball, curling his tail over his paws. He started chewing on the carpet, trying to get a taste for it. Disgusted, he spit it out and chewed on the tip of his tail instead. He stayed under there for a good five minutes, huddled and chewing. Finally, confident and calm once again, he strode out nonchalantly from underneath the sofa, leaving a few of his wispy hairs behind.
