<---- Blackhawk
female, 48 moons
RANK: Warrior
ALLIANCE: BoulderClan
APPEARANCE: Blackhawk is a rather large (around 15-20 pounds), midnight black female cat.
PERSONALITY: Blackhawk has a penchant for keeping to herself. She feels that things are better left alone and that they will tend to work themselves out. You could call her almost a Daoist in this respect as long as her own life is not involved. This tends to keep her from having too many friends because she refuses to become engaged in their quarrels with other cats. To her, it is better to mind one's own business.
When it comes to her own personal business, Blackhawk is completely different about it. For one, she likes to lay down the rules in her relationships and she feels the need to control what is going on in her life. The friends she has can expect her to be intensely loyal as long as they don't ask too much of her. She's not one that will leave your side too easily, mostly because she is able to respect even opinions that differ wildly from her own. She runs her life on set plans with which she has no intention of changing.
When it comes to her clan, Blackhawk can be counted on to jump in on any plan and help out with anything. she is a warrior by trade because her big size allows her to overpower many cats, and because she has a little bit of wanderlust. She cannot merely sit at the home and do nothing when she knows that others are busy.
REASON FOR NAME: She was given her name because she is midnight black and for the fact that she is fierce in a fight. Once a fight is started one can expect her to never back down even when outnumbered.
FAMILY: She has none on here.
HISTORY: As a kit, Blackhawk's parents immediately noticed how quiet she could be. She often played by herself and hunted alone. Though she loved her littermats, she didn't roll around with them practicing fighting. She preferred to do her own things. Wandering around by herself was her favorite thing to do. It became worrisome to her parents that Blackhawk may decide to become a loner instead of staying with her clan. They talked to the leader about making sure she was apprenticed to someone who could instill a little loyalty in the young black kitten.
As an apprentice, Blackhawk showed that there was a reason she had not played with her siblings. It seemed that she was already very adept at fighting. During apprenticeship, she had to learn to use her large size to her advantage as it could slow her down around smaller cats. She soon learned however to use her size to her advantage. True to her parents wishes, her mentor worked hard to instill a sense of loyalty in Blackhawk. Learning to stay true to her clan took some practice because she found it hard to relate to her fellow clan mates.
As a warrior, Blackhawk has been nothing less than superb. She will do anything and everything asked of her as long as she feels that it benefits the pack. She doesn't want anyone to send her off on a pointless job, but if she feels it is important she will do anything she must even if it comes at a cost. Her love for her clan runs deep as long as she can get some alone time every now and then. She has little interest in males and thinks mostly of only her job and hunting. Being black, she hunts mostly at dusk and dawn meaning that in the middle of the day she can usually be found in camp. Though she is not interested in males or kits of her own, Blackhawk happily awaits receiving her own apprentice and showing them the ropes.
RP EXAMPLE: The large black cat wandered through the grasses hunting her prey. She loved the thrill of the chase as she followed her prey. Its disturbance in the grass was not nearly as noticable as hers, but she tried desperately to be quiet. Closer and closer she edged in her pursuit. Then she saw her opening, the prey had looked away momentarily. She bounded out of the grasses and snagged her prey. It was only a grasshopper but she was only an apprentice practicing her skills and having fun.
Just as she made a crunch of the grasshopper in her mouth, she heard her name being called. The half-grown cat was supposed to be following her mentor around and learning the job of a warrior but she needed a break. With long bounds, she rushed to her mentor. Her mentor grumbled at her as she tripped over her large paws and rolled into his view. She was a klutz and she knew it.
"It's about time you showed up, kit. What have you been doing?" He muttered. She explained about hunting and he merely looked at her in disdain. Nothing she did was ever good enough, but she knew that it took tough love to become a warrior endowed with the prowess and experience to prove themselves. As he padded through their homelands, the kitten stayed on his heels trying not to make anymore of a fool of herself than she had already been today. One day no one would mock her, she vowed, one day she would be a warrior to be feared and respected.
