<---- DAPPLEFUR
female, 19 moons
RANK: Warrior[/size]
ALLIANCE: Brookclan
APPEARANCE: A slender Calico she-cat with hazel eyes.
PERSONALITY: (wip)
REASON FOR NAME: "Dapple" for the blotches of colour on her solid white pelt, and "Fur" to compliment the prefix.
FAMILY: (wip)
HISTORY:
Loner Arc:
- One rainy, spring morning, a litter of four Calico kittens were born in a Twoleg barn. Jace was the second out of one female, and two males. Throughout her days, Jace lived an average kitten life. She played with her sister and brothers, and was completely dependent on her mother. Until one tragic night, a fire ignited in the barn, which killed almost half of the animals that the family of cats shared the barn with. Unfortunately, Jace's owner was only able to save her, and her mother.
- About a week later, Jace's owner moved away, and left them behind. Jace and her mother were all alone. What made things worse; her mother had contracted an unknown starvation disease. There was no food left for them, so Jace did what seemed the most logical at the time; she took her mother into the forest, and made them a small den. Jace knew her duty now, and that was to care for her mother day and night. She hunted for her, and stayed up through the night with her.
- One day, Jace's mother was ready to die. She told her daughter that she was a great hunter and fighter, and assured her that everything would be alright. With that, she slowly slipped away. Jace mourned for the loss of her mother, and then dug her a grave. She mourned for a few more minutes, and then went on her way.
Apprentice Arc:
- After wandering the forest for almost six months, Jace came upon a border, marked by a mixture of different scents; all from different cats. She approached it further, and was stopped by an older Warrior. After being questioned about her wanderings, the Warrior brought her into the Clan's camp. Jace couldn't help but realize that she and the Warrior shared almost the same pelt colour, markings, and even the same eye colour. Could it be possible that the Warrior was her father, or even one of her lost brothers?
- About two days after joining the Clan, Jace received her Apprentice name; Dapplepaw. She'd also been assigned a mentor; the same one who'd brought her into the Clan; Slatepelt. For the passed five months he helped her strengthen her combat and hunting skills, and taught her the ways of the Clans, and even told her stories of the Clans. For a while, Dapplepaw's life in BrookClan was great, until Slatepelt revealed a secret to her; that he was indeed her father.
- Dapplepaw could hardly believe that her mentor was actually her father. How was it possible? Slatepelt sat down with her in his den, and told her what happened...
- Slatepelt was on patrol, when he discovered a Kittypet on Clan borders. He stopped her, and asked her if she was aware of this. The Kittypet explained to him that she was lost, and couldn't find her way home. Slatepelt figured no harm would come from helping her get home. He was wrong. Slatepelt soon learned her name; Felicity, and fell in love with her. After a while, the two ended up mating. After she told him that she was bearing kits, he knew he had to stay, even though his instincts were telling him to go. He stayed until the kittens were born, and then he had to go. Without any explanation, he up and left her.
- After Dapplepaw told him what happened to her mother and her siblings, Slatepelt couldn't find his voice. He fought tears. He couldn't cry in front of his last living kit. Dapplepaw comforted her father; as foolish as he was, he was still her father, and she was glad she found him. Dapplepaw took him to her mother's grave. He buried a small bird beside her grave, as his way to pay his respects. He mourned for a few minutes, and then the father and daughter returned to camp.
Warrior Arc:
- About three months later, Dapplepaw had finished her training. Slatepelt stood there at her ceremony, a proud mentor and father. She got her Warrior name; Dapplefur. She was the happiest she could be, and nothing could take that from her, until...
- A week from receiving her Warrior name, her father had fallen ill. Nobody knew what was wrong with him. His health slowly began to decline, and his illness got worse. As his health fell, Dapplefur cared for him like she'd done for her mother. Though she couldn't cure him, she still hunted for him and stayed awake through the night with him. On those rare nights when he did get to sleep, Mistwing would stand vigil outside of his den. She prayed day and night to StarClan that he would get better, but her prayers didn't come true. She would eventually have to accept that he lived a happy, healthy life, and that it was his time to go.
- The next morning, Dapplefur was found sleeping in front of her father's den. She learned that morning that her father had indeed passed away. Dapplefur just sat there in silence. A few sobs escaped from her throat, and a few tears rolled down her cheeks. Though he'd passed, her duty wasn't over yet. She dragged his body down to her mother's grave, and dug him one right beside her mother's. Once he was buried, she buried a small fish beside his grave, and a squirrel beside her mother's; as her way of saying her final goodbyes to both of them.
- Almost two years had passed since those passed events, and her parents' untimely demises. Dapplefur is still part of BrookClan, and the rest of her story will unfold from here...

It was a dark, gloomy day. The sky was overshadowed with clouds. They seemed to imprison the sunlight, keeping it tightly locked behind them. Though, sometimes little streams of the sunlight would break through. Laken didn't like the gloominess, or the darkness; she didn't know how to deal with how dark and gloomy it got. It made her feel depressed in a way. It was raining earlier. The ground was damp, and mud had formed on almost the entirety of the land. Laken liked the feeling of mud between her toes. It felt squishy and nice.
Laken's gaze moved across the vast land. She hadn't been in this foreign place for very long, but she knew it must've been glorious and beautiful at some point. Laken began to think back to her homeland. Oh, how beautiful it was. Lush, green forests spread themselves across the land, with clean, sparkling rivers and lakes, which were rich with a variety of aquatic life. The forests were also home to many varieties of prey. The pack never went hungry or thirsty with all of the resources surrounding them.
Except her, of course. Laken was treated so horribly, she can still remember it as clearly as if it happened yesterday. Her father thought her siblings were just wondderful things. But, he didn't feel the same way about her. He thought she was pathetic, stupid, and useless. He would beat her senselessly, and allowed the pack to make her their personal punching bag. They unloaded their anger and stress on her day in and day out. As sick of it as she was, she couldn't do anything about it. Her siblings wouldn't beat her, though. No, they would take to verbal insults. They snickered at her, and hissed curses at her. And...
"No, stop it..." Laken said out loud. She shook her head, eraseing those awful memories. "It's over, it's over, it's over..." she repeated those words to herself over and over again. It was done, the worst was over now. She was free. Free to go where she pleased, and do what she pleased, with nobody to hurt her anymore. Laken completely isolated herself from others, and lived in the very shadow of society. She feared that she would be hurt again if she let someone else into her life. She was happy to live alone. Or was she...?
The sudden sqeaks of mice filled her ears. Laken turned her head, eyeing a group of mice just a few feet away from her. She also noticed something else; a large brute. Great, just what she needed, to run into another wolf. Or anybody for that matter. Laken figured he was already hunting the small group of mice, so she left them alone. "I'd better leave..." Laken said out loud. And then, she turned on her heel in the opposite direction, hoping to get away without the wolf seeing her.
