Apparently, it was a bad idea to leap into an empty yard to sleep under a perfectly good bush in the sun. Apparently, empty yards actually held really angry lapdogs who really didn't like it when perfectly innocent cats tried to sleep under the aforementioned bushes. She, for once, hand't been looking for trouble. Just a nice spot to nap, and for a tiny thing....well, she had a pretty nice wound on her shoulder, nothing that wouldn't heal in time. The stupid thing had bit her..bit her!
She was Risk..she'd faced down badgers and busy roads with their stupid monsters without much of any trouble. Yet some stupid fluffy white fur-ball could get a grip on her.
Well, at least it had stopped bleeding or whatever, and now it just stung and throbbed. That's what you got, though, for running through fields and hills..and any number of dirty little things to get somewhere safe. Safe...and boring. Even if this was painful to endure, she was just so bored. Groaning, Risk rested her raised head on the ground, grimacing. Oh, that hurt. The young brown tabby, still a bit small at eighteen moons, stared at the pond, watching light bounce along the rock-lined bottom. Lazily, the very tip of her tail flicked. It was hot everywhere, but at least the water kept this little area a bit cooler. She was close enough that it was lapping at one out stretched paw. Her right, because her left was curled against her chest because that stupid bite made it painful to stretch out.
She was stupid, really. Why had she stayed to tussle with that dog when she could have just left and saved herself all this trouble? Well, you ain't named Risk for no reason, stupid. She sighed, complaining to herself. It wasn't a personal beat-down on her personality, no. Just her being fussy. She'd seen worse, but everything just sucked more when you were the one all scraped up..and her ego was bruised.
